Westwood has always been a greatly desired residential neighborhood because of its close proximity to UCLA which is important to the many doctors and professors who work there. It is also ideally located close to four major commercial centers in Los Angeles. First and foremost, it is walking distance from Westwood Village, which is experiencing a huge Renaissance. Westwood is also a few minutes drive from the Century City, Westside Pavilion and Beverly Hills shopping "Mecca" as well.
