Brentwood
is an elegant, prestigious and well-established neighborhood
offering a lifestyle that Los Angeles residents have aspired
to for years. Although recently achieving national fame and
notoriety it has always been a neighborhood held in high esteem
by Los Angeles residents.
Brentwood is loosely north of Wilshire Boulevard,
South of Mulholland Drive, West of the 405 Freeway and east
of 26th. Street/ Allenford Road and includes the Westridge
Hills and Mandeville Canyon areas as its western-most expanse
north of Sunset (see map). It's rather close proximity to
the Ocean makes for a milder climate than other areas of Los
Angeles, being cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.
Homes
in Brentwood range in price from roughly the $1,000,000 range
up to the multi-million dollar range in the prestigious Brentwood
Park neighborhood. The majority of homes in Brentwood however
are currently selling from $1,800,000 to $6 million.
Brentwood has always been a marvelous residential
neighborhood but it has also recently developed an extensive,
well-managed and very popular commercial district featuring
fine shopping and restaurants. This area lies primarily on
beautiful San Vicente Boulevard, which is a very popular walk
street. All of these attributes have changed Brentwood into
a "destination place" for people out for an evening.
Brentwood
also features the Brentwood Country Club, Brentwood Country
Mart, Brentwood Gardens and borders the famous Riviera Country
Club. Schools which service the area include Kenter Canyon
Elementary, Brentwood Elementary (science magnet), Paul Revere
Middle School and Palisades High School.
